Calling All Volunteers to Help with our Open House April 18th!

This will be our second open house since our grand opening in May of 2024. Once again, we are co-hosting this event with South Wake Conservationists, which is offering a native plant sale as part of the event. We had an estimated 150-200 visitors last year, and it takes a team to prepare for and host this event. Can you help?

Meanwhile, as we enter our third week of the season, the garden is off to a tremendous start. Numerous rows have already been prepped and planted, the pollinator plants have been cleaned up, the herb garden has been weeded and freshened for the new season, and work has already begun on preparing for an accessible garden area next to the shed, including completion of a retaining wall to help level that area. We are also ready to welcome new avian residents again, with the three bluebird houses and the purple martin houses open for business!

Hope to see you this evening – more to do! (wear your woolies – it has gotten a little chilly again)

Wish I could join you, but I have a birthday party to attend. Hopefully I’ll be seeing you at the garden next Saturday to help. I have another volunteer commitment for this Saturday. Have a good open house. Spring will be here soon. I’m excited to help again.
