Thanks to everyone that came today. We got it all in by 9:30 AM for delivery to The Point Food Pantry, thanks to a tremendous response by members to come out early to harvest all the cold-susceptible produce today before the upcoming freeze settles in Monday evening. Big Harvest Before the Freeze Well maybe not THAT big, but still a lot to do before 9:30 AM, with a freeze warning for Monday night. Come early if you can. The priority will be to harvest all remaining tomatoes, peppers, and okra, after which we will pull the plants to prepare for winter. We are still getting a nice harvest of other fall crops, too, including brussel sprouts, turnips, broccoli, kale, mustard greens, bok…
In addition to our garden work on scheduled garden workdays, including soil prep, planting, watering, weeding etc., there are other important supporting tasks that make the garden go.
