Busy Week at the Garden!
We hosted two groups at the garden last week and shared the satisfaction that comes from working the land side-by-side for the benefit of others in need in our community. On Saturday, a group of volunteers from Summit Church in Apex arrived bright and early. They came in all ages, including a five-month-old baby in a sling! Following a brief orientation and tour, everyone broke into three sub-groups. Garden will be 8-10 am tomorrow due to the heat. Please come help us get the harvest in and start prepping beds for fall crops.
Volunteer opportunities
In addition to our garden work on scheduled garden workdays, including soil prep, planting, watering, weeding etc., there are other important supporting tasks that make the garden go.
