We had a full house Saturday morning! Thirty volunteers from the Summit Church in Apex came to the garden, including a number of young budding gardeners bursting with enthusiasm. After a brief orientation by Carl, everyone donned garden gloves, grabbed tools and wheelbarrows, and went right to work weeding, mulching, and chipping the paths. They accomplishd a lot in a couple of hours, and the heat and haze didn’t slow them down one bit. It was a pleasure working with this group, and we hope to see many of them again on regular garden workdays in the future!

On a side note, we are proud to have one of the finest pollinator gardens in the area. Check out this bee hard at work this morning!
