About a month ago, Monty and I were invited to talk with Marvin Waldo of the Filling the Glass video podcast. This is a relatively new venture with the goal of building community and encouraging empathy right here in the Apex area. In their words, “each one of these podcasts features your neighbors–some you know and others you may not–working within their own daily lives to restore a sense of community. It’s an ongoing process made up of small and large efforts, choices made every day, rippling out into the world in a swelling wave of optimism. Filling the Glass wants to share these stories with you, to inspire you.”

I hope you will take some time to listen to the garden podcast and some of the others as well. There’s a lot of inspiration to be found in so many of our neighbors working to help each other. YOU are a big part of making the Garden possible, so you are on the Community building team too! A big thanks to Ben and Liz Flecha for connecting us to the podcast so we can share what we do with our neighbors. Community and empathy are something we can all use more of these days, so I hope you’ll share this podcast with your circle of friends, co-workers and neighbors too.
