A break in the shade every once in a while feels so good! With a bright and early start Saturday, eager garden members had harvested all seventeen rows of ready-to-pick crops before 8:30 AM. The team also dug into sorting garlic, extra watering, given recent hot days, relocating raspberry volunteers into a new, third row with added irrigation, plus an impressive amount of weeding. We are adjusting to the heat predictions and will start our garden workday at 7 AM again this Saturday. Come when you can, but the earlier the cooler! Our main focus will be on harvest, as the crops are really coming in strong now, plus an extra dose of watering. And don’t forget we will have our first batch of dried garlic for distribution, so plan to bring some home with you. Fun Fact AVERAGE…
