Check out our new, completely-refreshed page about our beautiful pollinator plants and the beneficial insects they attract! Thanks to Penny and Anne for bringing us a fresh, new view of this important part of our sustainable and beautiful Simple Gifts Community Garden.

As you might have guessed, we won’t be having garden hours tonight. We would likely need to recruit a flock of ducks if we tried to get out there in this weather! A brave group of gardeners harvested as much as they could on Tuesday morning before the storm arrived, but we really need some help on Saturday to catch up with harvesting and beginning to plant fall crops. Hope to see you Saturday!

Special hours today: Garden starts at 11 AM. The heavy rain is headed our way, and we want to be sure to get a good harvest in before it begins. Please come at 11, if you are available, to get all the abundant produce that needs to be harvested. Todays harvest goes to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Debbie K. is garden leader today and appreciates your help to gather the fresh produce that helps…
In addition to our garden work on scheduled garden workdays, including soil prep, planting, watering, weeding etc., there are other important supporting tasks that make the garden go. See some examples below. If you would like to sign up to help with any of these on particular dates, please go to our sign-up sheet by clicking the button below. Many hands make light work!
