Workday hours change this week due to heat
It’s going to be a real scorcher of a week this week with highs in the upper 90’s in some cases not even counting the heat index. As such we’re modifying garden workday hours to: Saturday hours (tomorrow) will be 7:30am until 11am or whenever harvesting and watering are done.Tuesday hours will remain 6-8pm but

YMCA Camp Rocks at the Garden!
Today was the first of several YMCA of the Triangle Summer Camp visits to Simple Gifts Community Garden planned this year. Todays visiting camp was “CILT Camp” (Campers in Leadership Training), comprised of teens in rising 9th – 10th grade who are looking for opportunities to serve and lead. In addition to our garden work on scheduled garden workdays, including soil prep, planting, watering, weeding etc., there are other important supporting tasks that make the garden go.
