Congratulations, gardeners! After just a few months of collecting discarded plastic film in the special recycle box at the garden, we reached the 1,000 pound threshold to receive a brand new bench from Trex. Who would ever have thought that those flimsy bags and wrappers would add up to 1,000 pounds so quickly! There was a lot happening at the garden today! In addition to the usual harvest tasks, which yielded an amazing number of beautiful cantaloupe and watermelons, the team removed rows of strawberries and cucumbers and prepped and planted several rows of fall crops.
