Dear Gardeners,

Please mark your calendars and start dreaming up your most wonderful recipes for our annual Fall Garden Dinner. We will meet at the garden at 5pm on Tuesday, Oct. 29th as usual, do the necessary harvesting and then be at the Apex UMC Fellowship Hall by 6pm to share all of our favorite dishes and time with each other as we celebrate another wonderful season. This will be a covered dish dinner with all the drinks and paper products provided. The fellowship hall is the only red brick one-story building on the campus at 100 S. Hughes St., just a mile or so from the garden. You are welcome to join us there if you can’t come to the garden. There will be limited access to ovens if you need to warm your dish.

The garden is beautiful these days with the wonderful weather we’ve been having. Summer crops are making way for fall, but there is still plenty of harvest, especially if you like peppers! We can’t seem to pick them fast enough. There’s a lot of satisfaction, exercise, fresh air and good fellowship waiting to be shared any work day. If you haven’t been able to get out to the garden, don’t be shy! It’s a no guilt garden. We always love to see you.
