Starting this coming week, Tuesday evening garden hours will be 6-8pm when it’s slightly cooler. Also Thursday morning garden hours will begin this coming week 9:30 – 11:30am. Summer crops are about to start coming in and we’ll need to harvest more often to avoid split tomatoes, baseball sized zucchini and other excesses that mean we lose produce. We had a fantastic turnout for what is typically a modest Tuesday garden evening, with cars filling up all the spaces along the fence and both side of the cul-de-sac! The usual task list was knocked out quickly, so the team turned attention to beginning to harvest our abundant crop of potatoes.
