Strawberry Fields Forever

Volunteers working on the strawberry rows

There was magic in the garden today, as everyone transformed our two remaining strawberry rows into three. One row was massively thinned as an experiment to see if the original plants will thrive and produce berries as wonderful as they did this year. Then, 50+ new plants that had been formed from runners were carefully extracted and planted into two new rows. Strawberry plants were made available to everyone to take home and add to their own personal gardens, as well. It was a merry time in the strawberry fields, but it was definitely hard work, and it was hot!
