This coming Saturday, May 3rd, garden workday hours will begin at 8am! We normally work earlier in the summer when the temperatures get hotter. If we get everything done, it’s possible that garden hours may end a bit early, so come on out while it’s still cool and we can get the harvest picked in time for the food bank pickup at 9:30.

Most of you probably know that we’re down a few garden leaders due to injury and illness. If anyone has ever thought about volunteering for this fun job, May 17th is currently open and I’m sure we can find an experienced garden leader to walk you through it the first time. Also, we need a volunteer to pick up old produce and scraps from Lowes Foods in Apex on 5th Saturdays. Deb Frank has been helping with this in addition to her regular days, but she is garden leader on May 31st and can’t be in two places at once.
