Hi, gardeners!
It might be a wet garden in the morning: the forecasters are calling for 60-70% chance of rain through the morning. But the temperature will be in the 60s, so if you don’t mind getting wet, come on out. (Maybe remember to wear your garden boots, since it could be a little wet.)
With the rain we probably won’t have to hand water any of the new seedlings at the garden. And we still have some delicious spinach to harvest in row 7B and equally delicious cilantro to harvest in row 9B.
We have lots of beds to prep — weeding, adding compost and fertilizer, and turning soil over. We may even plant some potatoes. We will put in some trellises in a couple beds to get ready for our climbing pea plants. (The blueberry poles will help us make perfect trellises for the blueberries.) And if it’s not too wet we might run the tiller and turn under the soil and mulch in our “lower 40”.
So if you have some free time in the morning, come join us at the garden. It is always a pleasure to see you.
Fred
