Hi Gardeners,

It’s almost time to start our garden workdays again (March 1 is our opening day). Before we start growing in the garden we thought we’d get together and make lots of vegetable soup that we could each take home and also share with our local food bank. So here’s an outline of the plan:

Saturday, February 22 – 9am until ?

Apex UMC Christian Life Center kitchen

Reserve your spot by contacting me at anneh@nc.rr.com or 919-616-6659 by Feb. 16th.

Bring an ingredient (to be assigned later), your favorite knife if you prefer and containers for the soup that you will take home.

Once we get quantities figured out we’ll let you know what ingredient/amount you can bring and how much soup you should expect to take home. If you have extra containers that you can donate for the soup that will go to the food bank that would be great. We’ll figure out the rest of the details as we know how many folks would like to participate. The important thing is that you let us know asap if you would like to join in.
