Hi Garden Friends,
This Saturday will be the last official garden workday for this season. We will try to finish up preparing beds and mulching with leaves. If you aren’t traveling this weekend please consider coming out to help us finish up a wonderful year! Feel free to bring your visiting family and/or friends to show them around or if they would like to help they would be welcome. (We’ll just ask them to sign a waiver; they won’t need to join.) There are still plenty of delicious fall crops for harvest – sweet potatoes, cabbage, kale, collards, radishes, carrots, broccoli, spinach and lettuces. Keep an eye out for emails about tasks on any warm Saturdays over the winter as compost still needs to be turned and early crops planted. Also we normally harvest collards for New Year’s in keeping with fine Southern tradition. J We’ve so enjoyed spending time with each of you this season, we wish you a warm and joyous holiday season and will look forward to seeing you at our annual spring planning meeting in late January or early February.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Anne & Fred
