Hi, gardeners!

First, starting tomorrow — Saturday October 26th — we will begin garden at 9AM. The weather man says it will be cold (BRRR!!) tomorrow morning, so please dress warmly. For the coming few Saturdays this year our workdays will run from 9AM – 12Noon.

Second, thanks to Tonya we had a “harvestfest” yesterday and harvested all the sweet potatoes and all the remaining peppers and squash. We saved several buckets of sweet potatoes to share with other gardeners. So please come by tomorrow to get some sweet potatoes and maybe some peppers, too!

Third, our garden potluck dinner is scheduled for this coming Tuesday night at 6PM. We were going to hold a brief garden workday, but we harvested almost everything yesterday, so please come directly to the potluck dinner. We are holding the dinner at the Apex UMC church on Hughes Street, right before you get to Chatham Street. Look for the low red brick building on the left, coming from the garden. Please bring a meal to share. It will be fun to eat good food, relax and share each other’s company.
