Hello Garden Friends!
I hope this email finds you bundled up and cozy in your homes! Fall (or Winter) has arrived:)
We realize this is a last minute request, but the cool temperatures are prompting us to ask for some help in harvesting our crop of sweet potatoes. Because of the forecasted low temperatures, they need to come out of the ground.
If your schedule allows and you’d like to help, the garden will be open tomorrow(Thursday) from 12:00 – 3:00 to harvest sweet potatoes.
Digging up sweet potatoes is one of my favorite things to do in the garden. The fun for me is discovering how many ‘taters are actually hidden under the dirt. Sort of like digging for buried treasure. Of course in this case, the treasure is just loads of calcium, potassium, and vitamins A and C
