Hi, gardeners,

Recently, day lilies were donated to the garden in five large black tubs. If you have borrowed one of the tubs, would you please return it to the garden soon so we can get the tubs back to our donor.

Second, on Saturday October 19th our garden sponsor, Apex United Methodist church, will be gleaning sweet potatoes from a farmer’s field east of Raleigh near Zebulon. They will need 20 gleaners to fill the bed of a pick-up truck full of potatoes. The next day after gleaning, the sweet potatoes will be taken to the church campus. As part of their Mission Fair, church members will bag the sweet potatoes and carry them over to the Western Wake Crisis Ministries’ food pantry in downtown Apex.
