Hello Garden Members!

Did I hear it correctly?? 24 degrees for the low Thursday night?? Not my idea of a way to welcome in Spring:)

In spite of the cold weather, the “garden must go on”! Last week our seed potatoes arrived and it is our hope to be planting them this weekend as well as some onions. Last Saturday, many of the potato beds were prepped and are ready to be planted.

We plan to open the garden from 9:00 – 12:00, but please be aware that if it starts to rain and get messy, we might close up early.

Last Saturday, our irrigation team worked very hard and got our pump and system running. I can’t tell you how good it was to hear water flowing from the faucet. Many thanks to those who made it possible!!!

Well, I’m off to check my NCAA bracket and see how poorly my predictions are doing:) I hope to see you in the garden this weekend!
