Thanks to Sandra and Ed, who volunteered to open the garden on NEW YEAR’S EVE, many garden members had a green beginning to 2012!  From gigantic cabbage to carrots Bugs Bunny would surely be drawn to, the bounty was plentiful.

In addition to the personal harvest each member family has enjoyed during the 2011 season, the Simple Gifts Community Garden has grown over 1100 pounds of fresh, organic produce for the Western Wake Crisis Ministry.  In tough economic times, the garden provides much needed support for so many!
